FIRED UP about relaxing this weekend with my beautiful wife.

DOWNHEARTED about the frigid cold temperatures. It seems like this winter has been colder than those of recent years. There is good news though – we are only 6 weeks away from the official start of spring.

FIRED UP about the start of 2010. January has flown by but in reflection it has been a good month. A lot has happened already and there will no doubt be more good things to come in the months ahead.

FIRED UP my new Google Nexus One phone. I am the first to admit that I am a gadget guy. New gadgets make me happy. I weighed my options and compared the iPhone and the Nexus One and decided that the Google Android OS is impressive. I already have an iPod Touch which is sort of like the iPhone so adding the Nexus One to my gadget collection gives me something new.

FIRED UP about my kids. From time to time they say or do things that just leave me smiling and shaking my head. Earlier this week I received the following e-mail message from one of my sons:

Oh my gosh Dad I would like to thank you very much for who you are. I inherited your humor and now I have found a real use for it. I now have a smokin hott girlfriend because of my ‘cute’ smile and the funnyness. I received this humor from you and am veeeerrry grateful for this gift. .

It is great to be appreciated.
